Who are we

The Fivelab members are a group of professionals, in their 30’s and 40’s, spread around the world, with broad experience in the Internet sector and with the mission of converting the ideas or projects of the entrepreneurs into a profitable business.

  • MARIANO AMARTINO (Buenos Aires)- www.uberbin.net

    He was an expert in online communities before they were trendy. He has worked for important mass media and startup companies in Latin America, apart from being the promoter of several initiatives (blogdir.com, weblogs.com.ar). He has a university degree in Political Science, a master’s degree in Mass Media and he was a professional ice hockey player.

    A successful entrepreneur. Co-founder of eConozco, Festuc or Pricenoia among others, and with more than 8 years of experience developing Internet projects. He works as the Country Manager of Xing in Spain after the sale of eConozco in March 2007. He has a degree in Medicine and surgery by the UAB and an MBA by ESADE.
  • ROGELIO BERNAL (Sunnyvale) - bdsv.zoomblog.com

    A Brilliant and irregular blogger, and a harsh and ironic commenter, he is one of the most charismatic characters in the Hispanic Web 2.0. He graduated from Harvard in 1995, and has an important experience in two of the best-known companies in Internet: Netscape and Ebay. From 2000 he manages AR Networks (eListas, eGrupos, ZoomBlog, coRank...) and gives service to more than 20 millions of users from all around the world.
  • RUBÉN COLOMER (Valencia) - www.online.com.es

    A Valencian entrepreneur, he was one of the first Spaniards to understand the importance of search engines positioning. He created one of the first Hispanic SEO communities and he manages a network of commercial blogs, Geoviviendas.com and developed online projects for clients such as Vodafone, Uni2, Wanadoo, Jump, several universities and city councils. He is our stat-cruncher :P

    Apart from his youth, he contributes to Fivelab his 10-year-long experience working in important Internet projects. First in TPI-Páginas Amarillas, later in Noxtrum and, for the last two and a half years, as a Search Manager for Microsoft. We hope that his first steps as an entrepreneur are not the last, and that he always remembers that day, 12 years ago, when he first used Internet in Bosnia-Herzegovina, during a peace mission...
  • JUAN LUIS HORTELANO (Valencia) - www.tecnorantes.com

    Juan Luis is an old dog in Hispanic Internet. Informatics Engineer by the UPV, he contributes to Fivelab his experience in all the aspects of networking services: commerce, usability, management... Co-founder of Kanben Consulting, he has worked for classic companies of Web 2.0 such as Feedburner, PageFlakes and coComment. He works currently as an advisor for several startups.
