WHO ARE WE?

We are a business accelerator formed by a group of Internet-experienced professionals that are able to convert your idea or project into a profitable business. You will have our help, offering you our experience, contacts, means or capital to start.

WHY ARE WE CALLED FIVELAB?

We are in 5 different cities around the world, and we believe in 5 essential qualities of any entrepreneur: perseverance, passion, talent, innovation and integrity.

And 5 are also the aspects in which we believe we can add value to a project: experience, market knowledge, networking, resources and integrity.

Apart from that, there are not that many .com domains available, short and without the "r" or "z" at the end as to be picky...


WHO DO WE ADDRESS?

Entrepreneurs with a project that need some support to carry it out.

Collaborators (programmers, designers and almost any other profile) that do not have a specific project but are willing to help in an attractive venture.

Investors interested in Internet projects.


IN SPAIN?

We are open to projects in any part of the world. Internet has no boundaries... why would we set them?


THEN YOU ARE AN INCUBATOR, AREN’T YOU?

Not really. We contribute our knowledge, resources and the appropriate people to accelerate the projects, and eventual access to capital if it is necessary.


DO YOU COMPETE WITH INCUBATORS?

Our mission is to collaborate with whoever is needed to convert ideas in tangible projects. If the project needs support from an incubator or venture capital we will establish contacts with them.


WHAT CAN YOU OFFER?

We offer you our support to build your project and strategic orientation to make it real. We can contribute our experience, knowledge of the market, networking and resources.


WHAT IS YOUR SHARE OF EACH PROJECT?

It depends. We cannot establish a pattern because there are not two projects alike and what best defines us is personalization. A project might require initial capital to start, investments in technology, etc. while other businesses are cheaper to develop. The share contributed by the entrepreneur is also an important influence. Some of them will develop the project, and others will just oversee it. Each case is different and requires a new analysis. For instance, if you are an entrepreneur that needs a programmer, a designer and capital for your project, your share will be lower than if you develop your project yourself and you need less resources.


WOULD I BE THE OWNER OF MY OWN IDEA?

Yes. We are your partners: the better the project works, the better for all of us, so we want your idea to be a success.


WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Basically innovative Internet-related projects that have growing potential.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PROJECTS THAT ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE IN WHICH YOU ARE ALREADY WORKING?

Due to ethical and professional reasons, we are not going to take part in projects that are not compatible with others in which Fivelab or any of its partners are involved.


WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO SEND YOU A PROJECT?

You should send us a brief presentation answering the following questions (no more than 10 pages). You have to clarify:

1.- What is the project

2.- How do you expect to earn money with it

3.- Pros and cons of your project

4.- Identification of your competitors

5.- Any available prototype, demo, sketch...

 

I THINK I AM TOO YOUNG...

We don’t care about your age, just your ideas. We have the experience you need to make it a reality.


I DON’T KNOW HOW TO CREATE A BUSINESS PLAN...

We don’t care either, as long as the project is a good one and you have your ideas clear.


YOU WON’T STEAL MY IDEA, WILL YOU? WILL WE SIGN A NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT?

No, ideas do not usually make a difference (with rare exceptions).

Sometimes we are presented with similar ideas at the same time, which would limit our choices.

What makes a project really different is the capacity of the entrepreneur and the management team to carry it out. If we signed a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for each project we are presented, we would spend much more in lawyers than in servers and we wouldn’t be able to develop almost any idea.

If you believe that your idea or project can collide with one we are currently developing, do not send us any sensitive information about it to avoid problems from both parts in case we decided that they are incompatible.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR MORE PARTNERS?

No, we aren’t, but we are always looking for collaborators that can contribute something to the projects in which we are taking part.
